Richard Hunt attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, was honored with a solo exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in 1971, and spent the following decades producing more than 125 public sculpture commissions across the country. In 2014, on the eve of his 80th birthday, Chicago’s Department of Cultural Affairs & Special Events and the Chicago Cultural Center mounted a retrospective spanning 60 works and 60 years.

The exhibition identity ran across banners, brochures, posters, didactics, and a large typographic title wall with a grid inspired by Hunt's sculptural forms. Rack cards mounted directly on the title wall invited visitors to take one home.

The elevator poster is a fan favorite. Every public sculpture Hunt made over 60 years, listed by city and state. The full archive while you wait for your floor
